Earth Day, Birthdays and American Cancer Society

Happy Earth Day. May we collectively treat Mother Earth so well that humanity enjoys Happy Earth Days and Happy Birthdays for millennia to come.

And speaking of birthdays, did you know that the American Cancer Society owns the copyright to the ubiquitous “Happy Birthday” song?

This cancer research behemoth also brought us the ubiquitous Pink Ribbon for breast cancer. It’s a smart organization.

I’m very proud to be a founder of a new ACS initiative too, which should make my philanthropic participation more strategic and results oriented than any other ACS efforts to date. More to come on this.
